Students from China Foreign Affairs University (CFAU) visit the Embassy of Pakistan

A 64 -member student delegation from China Foreign Affairs University (CFAU) visited the Embassy on 4 January 2019. These students belonged to Current Affairs Study Association of CFAU.

Counsellor Bilal Akram Shah, welcomed the students and introduced them to Pakistan’s history, culture and the All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership between Pakistan and China. He also briefed them on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and the on-going bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy, industry, education, technology, socio-economic development and poverty alleviation.

In her address to the students, Deputy Head of Mission Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said that the visit from CFAU was an important opportunity for the students to learn about Pakistan, its history and culture and the strong friendship which exists between the two countries. She emphasized the need for greater cultural cooperation and increase in people-to-people exchanges, especially amongst the youth of both countries. Her remarks were followed by a question and answer session, during which the students actively participated and showed great enthusiasm to learn about Pakistan.
 
The visit from CFAU is an annual event and a key part of Mission’s Public diplomacy efforts.
