Ambassador of Pakistan Delivers Lecture at Tsinghua University

Ambassador of Pakistan to China, H.E. Ms. Naghmana A. Hashmi delivered a lecture on, “Pakistan – Land of Sufis, Mountains, Valleys and Deserts” on 26 December 2019 at Tsinghua University in Beijing. The lecture was organised by Pakistan Study Centre of Tsinghua University and attended by a large number of Chinese, international and Pakistani students. 

The Ambassador in her speech highlighted that Pakistan is a young nation with ancient roots. The country is cradle of various ancient civilisations which not only made a rich contribution to evolution of Pakistani culture and values but also left an inimitable impression on world history.

The Ambassador explained that nature has generously endowed Pakistan with different geographical features which shaped the diverse cultural attributes of Pakistani nation.  Due to its geographical location, Pakistan has remained a bridge for connecting different cultures and civilisations of various regions of the world since primordial times. The modern Pakistani society has a progressive and pluralistic outlook and is resonating with new ideas and optimism.

Ambassador’s speech was followed by an interactive Q&A session with several Chinese and international students on Pakistan’s history, geography, culture and CPEC.
