Ambassador’s roundtable conversation with think tanks on Pakistan-China partnership amidst complex international and regional situation

Amb. Moin Ul Haque chaired a virtual roundtable with leading Chinese academics and scholars on regional and international issues, non-traditional security threats, and challenges posed by long-unresolved issues such as the illegal Indian occupation of Jammu and Kashmir to regional peace and stability.

The event coincided with Kashmir Solidarity Day on 5 February 2021 as an expression of Pakistan’s unwavering political, moral, and diplomatic support for the Kashmiri people in realization of their inalienable right to self determination in accordance with the UN Charter and UNSC resolutions.

In his remarks, the Ambassador expressed gratitude for China’s principled position on the Kashmir issue even after India’s illegal and unilateral action of 5 August 2019. Going forward, Pakistan and China would continue to enhance the bilateral All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership and strengthen cooperation on CPEC to serve as a pillar of stability, development and connectivity in the region and beyond at a time of unprecedented global uncertainty.
