Pakistan National Day Celebrated in China

To mark the 82nd anniversary of Pakistan Resolution, the National Day of Pakistan was celebrated with traditional warmth and fervour at Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing. The event was attended by Pakistani community in China, media representatives and a large number of Chinese nationals.
The Pakistan Day ceremony commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Koran. Ambassador of Pakistan Mr. Moin ul Haque raised the national flag amidst the invigorating tune of the national anthem. During the event, special messages of the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan were also read out.
In his speech, Ambassador Moin ul Haque paid a glowing tribute to the founding fathers and preceding generations of Pakistan for their vision and sacrifices for the independence of Pakistan. He underscored that Pakistan Resolution marked an important milestone in the political struggle of Muslims of subcontinent which ultimately culminated in the attainment of freedom on 14 August 1947.
Ambassador Moin underlined that 82nd Pakistan Day has assumed a special symbolism as it coincided with the 75th anniversary of independence of Pakistan and 48th session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) being held in Islamabad. He said that participation of Muslim countries and representatives of international organisations in the CFM is a befitting acknowledgement of Pakistan’s endeavours for promotion of world peace and stability, unity of Muslim Ummah and for fostering a spirit of dialogue and amity between the world civilisations.
Highlighting the importance of Pakistan-China friendship, Ambassador of Pakistan said that both countries are striving for peace, development and prosperity of the entire region. The ironclad friendship between the two countries was evidenced by the special participation of State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi in the OIC-CFM in Islamabad.  Ambassador Moin added that Pakistan and China would continue strengthening their mutually beneficial ties as envisaged by the leadership and peoples of the two countries.
During the ceremony, students of Pakistan Embassy College Beijing presented special performances on national songs. Similar flag hoisting ceremonies were also held at Pakistani Consulates in Chengdu, Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
