Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif held a meeting with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko in Beijing

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko held a bilateral meeting on 14 May in Beijing on the sidelines of the Belt and Road Forum. The meeting was characterized by traditional warmth and cordiality.

During the meeting, the two leaders expressed satisfaction at the growth of bilateral ties in a short span of time. The two leaders discussed ways to further increase trade and industrial cooperation between Pakistan and Belarus. 

The Prime Minister fondly recalled his official visit to Belarus last year and said the camaraderie between the two leaders was the foundation of a strong Pak-Belarus relationship.

Pakistan's Ambassador to China Mr. Khalid Masood and senior government officials also attended the meeting.
