Ambassador’s meeting with Chairman of Amer International Group Ltd.

Ambassador Moin ul Haque had a meeting with Mr. Wang Wenyin, Chairman of Amer International Group Ltd., during his official visit to Shenzhen. The Ambassador was accompanied by Pakistan’s Acting Consul General in Guangzhou, and representatives from the Embassy in Beijing and Consulate-General in Guangzhou.

During the meeting, Ambassador briefed Chairman Wang about the growing economic cooperation between China and Pakistan and investment potential of Pakistan especially in the mining sector. He informed him that under CPEC, both countries have agreed to strengthen cooperation in the mining sector and invited Amer Group to explore the immense opportunities which exist in this sector in Pakistan. 

Mr. Wang acknowledged the close Pakistan-China strategic ties and expressed his keen desire to invest in Pakistan. He informed that a delegation of senior officials of Amer Group would soon visit Pakistan to explore the market and hold discussions with Pakistani government and industry.

Amer  International Group Ltd. is a leading Chinese enterprise in the mining sector, mainly dealing with non-ferrous metals and non-metallic materials. The company is currently ranked 76th in the Fortune 500.
