Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif held a meeting with Prime Minister of Ethiopia Hailemariam Desalegn Boshe in Beijing

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif held a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister of Ethiopia Mr. Hailemariam Desalegn Boshe on 14 May in Beijing on the sidelines of the Belt and Road Forum.
 
The Prime Minister Sharif highlighted the importance of Pakistan’s relations with Africa and the central position of Ethiopia in the African Union. He said that Pakistan keenly looked to develop trade and commercial relations with Ethiopia and that the Government was encouraging business chambers to interact with Ethiopian partners. He said that the engagement between the two countries can grow in the fields of public sector reform, technical cooperation and private investment.

The Ethiopian Prime Minister called Pakistan an important country in the region and expressed pleasure on the growing ties between the two countries. He expressed a desire to learn from Pakistan’s experiences and expertise, especially in the field of agricultural research and productivity.
