For Residents of Punjab/Islamabad
Pakistani citizens with permanent residence in Punjab or Islamabad can apply for a Police Character Certificate (PCC) through the Embassy of Pakistan, Beijing.
Application Process:
Ø Visit the Embassy in Person: Applicants must come in person and bring their original valid CNIC and Passport for processing.
Ø Form Submission: Upon arrival, fill out the required form. The consular staff will assist you.
Ø Live Photograph: The Embassy will take your live photograph and upload your details to the Punjab/Islamabad Police online portal.
Ø Processing Time: The PCC is usually issued within two weeks and is provided free of charge by the Embassy.
Ø Attestation (Optional): Once the PCC is received from Pakistan, the Embassy can attest it upon request. The attestation fee is RMB 113.
Ø Dispatch: The PCC will be sent to your provided address at your expense.
Ø Validity: A PCC issued by Punjab Police is valid for 180 days. After expiration, a new application must be submitted if required.
Important Notes:
Ø Online PCC Processing is NOT available for residents of Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir, as these regions do not yet offer this facility.
Ø The Embassy does not issue PCCs or non-criminal certificates. These can only be obtained from police authorities in Pakistan
For PCC Issued in Pakistan
If you need a PCC from Pakistan, follow these steps:
Ø Visit the Police Station: Apply in person at the nearest Police Station or Khidmat Markaz in your home city with a valid CNIC or Passport.
Ø Applying Through an Authorized Representative:
a) If you cannot visit in person, you may authorize a blood relative to apply on your behalf.
b) The Authority Letter must be attested by the Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing or any other Pakistani Consulate in China.
c) Attestation fee for the Authority Letter is RMB 75.
Ø Attestation Requirement:
a) The PCC must have a QR Code/Apostille from MoFA Pakistan before presenting it to the Embassy or Consulates in China.
