China Pakistan Technical & Vocational Training Forum is a landmark initiative launched by Pakistan Embassy in 2024 to promote cooperation in skill development and employability of human resource. The initiative aims to establish linkages between vocational training institutes of China and Pakistan with a view to advancing synergies in Technical and Vocational Education & Training (TVET) programs.
The inaugural TVET Forum was held on 19 December 2024, attended by over 500 participants, including representatives of vocational training colleges of China and provincial TEVTAs of Pakistan. The Forum was held under the theme “Fostering a Skilled Workforce: Forging a Brighter Future”, capturing the vision of TVET initiative.
Senior Officials from the Chinese Ministry of Education, Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) and Ministry of Human Resource Development and Social Security participated in the Forum as keynote speakers. Discussions at the Forum focused on leveraging TVET cooperation as a vehicle to equip the people with means to earn and contribute to national development. Participants also underscored TVET’s critical role in promoting industrialization and high quality development under CPEC 2.0.
