Ambassador visited the Guizhou Big Data Demonstration Zone, and met with Guizhou companies Longmaster Co. Ltd, and Geely Automobile Co. Ltd.

While on his visit to Guiyang to attend the 2023 China – ASEAN Education Week, from 27-31 August 2023, where Pakistan was the official partner country, the Ambassador visited the Guizhou Big Data Demonstration Zone, and met with Guizhou companies Longmaster Co. Ltd, and Geely Automobile Co. Ltd.

​Senior representatives from Guizhou’s Big Data Demonstration Zone updated the Ambassador on how Guizhou had utilized its natural advantages to create a world class Big Data industrial chain, which in turn had led to the province’s development in creating a smart city and using technology to resolve sophisticated problems. While meeting with representatives from Longmaster Co. Ltd, the Ambassador was made aware of the significant strides the company had made using technology to launch an internet hospital. The visit to Geely Automobile Co Ltd. was also productive, as the company were engaged in developing environmentally safe electric vehicles for mass usage.

​The Ambassador highlighted the benefits Pakistan could provide to these companies, from its strategic location, to favourable governmental investment and business policies, not to mention the highly educated, skilled, and abundant labour force, which could act as a force multipler for these companies. The Ambassador also invited these companies to consider shifting some of their operations to Pakistan to reap the benefits, and invited the representatives to Pakistan and connect with relevant ones in Pakistan.
