It is such a pleasure to be in Weifang, marking my first visit to this beautiful city. On behalf of my wife, colleagues and on my own behalf, I convey my heartfelt appreciation to the Weifang Municipal Committee and Government for their warm invitation for this festive occasion-the 41st Weifang International Kite Festival. I had a very cordial and productive conversation with Mayor Liu Jianjun.
 
Weifang, renowned as the world's capital of kites, is also a city of vibrant colors with a rich history. This is a testament to the enduring spirit of cultural celebration. This city’s cultural heritage, splendid traditions, and warm hospitality leave an indelible mark on all who visit. And we are no exception. 
 
The Weifang International Kite Festival is a global phenomenon, a celebration of friendship, creativity, and the shared joy of kite flying. It embodies the essence of Weifang's cultural vibrancy, attracting participants and spectators from around the world, showcasing the city's deep-rooted passion for kite culture. I’m pleased to learn of the extensive participation in this year’s festival.
 
Like in Weifang, kite flying holds a special place in Pakistani cultural and traditions. In my country, it is not just a recreational activity but a cherished cultural tradition that brings communities together in joyous harmony.
 
As we gather here amidst the fluttering kites and cheerful festivities, let us reaffirm our commitment to fostering stronger cultural and political connections between Weifang, China, and Pakistan. This festival serves as a bridge of understanding and appreciation, transcending boundaries and fostering goodwill.
 
I am confident that through initiatives like this festival, we can continue to enhance mutual understanding, strengthen economic ties, and promote cultural exchanges that enrich our societies and deepen our friendships.
 
I would also like to reiterate our desire and commitment to strengthen economic and cultural ties, particularly in agriculture, and would like to propose a collaboration to establish a Weifang National Comprehensive Pilot Agriculture Zone in Pakistan with government support.
 
In conclusion, I extend my best wishes for the success of this year's Weifang International Kite Festival and Kite Carnival. May the colorful kites soaring high in the sky today symbolize the boundless possibilities of cooperation, friendship, and cultural enrichment between our nations.
