Senate CPEC Committee members visit China

At the invitation of the Chinese Government, a delegation comprising members of the Senate CPEC Committee and led by Sen. Taj Haider, Chairman of the Committee, visited China from 29 November to 3 December 2017.
During the visit, the delegation met Chinese government officials in Beijing and Guangxi province.
In their interactions with the Chinese, the delegates underscored Pakistan’s commitment to implementing the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as the flagship project of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). Both sides appreciated the positive role being played by CPEC in the economic development of Pakistan and China, and its potential benefits to the region.
