Ambassador of Pakistan to China Visits Guangzhou and stresses the need to enhance trade, educational and people to people linkages

Mr. Masood Khalid, Ambassador of Pakistan visited Guangzhou from 12-14 March 2018. During the visit, he held meetings with Mr. Ouyang Weimin, Vice Governor of Guangdong province and the leadership of South China University of Technology as well as South China University of Agriculture.
 
During the meeting with the Vice Governor, the Ambassador highlighted the bilateral relations and invited him to lead a business delegation to Pakistan. Both sides agreed to make efforts to enhance trade, tourism and people to people exchanges.
The Ambassador congratulated the President of South China University of Agriculture on establishment of Joint Agriculture Research Center with University of Sargodha. The Ambassador also exchanged views with Pakistani students enrolled in various programs. He noted that the educational exchanges through exchange of faculty and students will play an important role in the future. To this end, he invited both South China University of Technology and South China University of Agriculture to join CPEC Consortium of China-Pakistan Universities.
 
The Ambassador also visited Huangpu Wenchong Shipyard of China State Shipbuilding Corporation in Guangzhou.
