Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi Calls on Chinese Defence Minister in Beijing, China

Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi is on an official visit to China. During the visit, the Naval Chief called on Chinese Defence Minister, General Wei Fenghe in Beijing.
  
During the meeting, professional matters and various avenues of mutual collaboration came under discussion. The Naval Chief reiterated the need for enhancing global efforts to effectively and efficiently confront the common challenges and threats within the maritime domain. The Chinese dignitaries highly appreciated Pakistan Navy’s role and contributions in maintaining peace and order in the maritime domain for freedom of seas and free flow of maritime trade. The dignitaries also agreed to further enhance bilateral collaboration between Pakistan and China in general and navies in particular in diverse defence related avenues.
 
Earlier, Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi also met Defence Industry Leadership of China including President Poly Technologies Inc., President China Geological Survey and Chairman China State Ship Building Corporation. Issues related to ongoing and future projects of Pakistan Navy were discussed.
