Foreign Minister of Pakistan holds bilateral meeting with Foreign Minister of Tajikistan and meets with Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan

The Foreign Minister of Pakistan Khawaja Muhammad Asif held a bilateral meeting with Aslov Sirodjidin Muhridinovich, Foreign Minister of Tajikistan on 23 April 2018 at Beijing on the sidelines of the Council of Foreign Ministers’ meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
 
Foreign Ministers of Pakistan and Tajikistan discussed issues of mutual interest and agreed to enhance and further deepen bilateral cooperation between the two countries. Welcoming Pakistan’s membership of SCO, the Tajik Foreign Minister agreed with Foreign Minister of Pakistan that the two countries should further enhance mutual collaboration for regional stability, economic development and connectivity. They also agreed to further strengthen cooperation at the various mechanisms of Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
 
Subsequently, Foreign Minister also visited Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization where he met with Secretary General Rashid Alimov and also participated in an event hosted by the Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan. The Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan welcomed Pakistan’s membership of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and appreciated the active role played by Pakistan in SCO. The two Foreign Ministers also expressed satisfaction at the state of bilateral relations between Pakistan and Kazakhstan.
