Second Pakistan Students Forum Held in Beijing

November 23,2019

The Embassy of Pakistan Beijing held the second Pakistan Students Forum in Beijing today. Ambassador of Pakistan to China, Ms. Naghmana Alamgir Hashmi welcomed the students and presided over the event. Around 400 students participated in the event. The second Students Forum was specially designed to welcome the Pakistani students of the 2019 intake in China and to honour the outstanding academic achievements of Pakistani students in Chinese universities.

Presiding over the Forum, the Ambassador highlighted the meritorious achievements of Pakistani students in China. She expressed the confidence that they would continue to excel in academics and research just as their senior peers have done in recent years. Terming the students as ambassadors of Pakistan, she urged them to uphold the name of the country by focusing on their studies and setting high standards of moral values. Ambassador Hashmi also asked them to respect local laws and customs during their stay in China. She expressed the hope that the students would maintain unity among their ranks and continue to play a positive role in positive projection of Pakistan through academic and cultural pursuits.

The Ambassador also awarded certificates to 89 award-winning Pakistani students from various Chinese universities as well as from the Pakistan Embassy College Beijing for their outstanding academic performances in their respective institutions.

The students were briefed on the consular services offered by Pakistani missions in China and the regulations concerning foreign students. They were encouraged to register at the Embassy website and to stay in close contact with the Embassy and the respective consulates.

The students actively participated in the interactive session. They appreciated the Embassys outreach efforts and termed the Forum as an important opportunity of inclusiveness and interaction for students across different universities of China.
