President of CHEC met with Ambassador of Pakistan

A delegation led by Tang Qiaoliang, President of China Harbour Engineering Company met the Ambassador of Pakistan to China, Moin ul Haque at the Embassy today.

Ambassador briefed them about Pakistan-China bilateral relations and about the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) the pilot project of Belt and Road, which is a great symbol of China-Pakistan ties. Giving details of the second phase, the CPEC will manly concentrate on the areas of agriculture, science and technology, and vocational training, which are very important for Pakistan poverty alleviation and economic and social development. He mentioned the nine special economic zones (SEZs) that would be established along the CPEC route and invited the enterprises, traders and investors to take advantage of the opportunity to set up industries in the SEZs to promote trade and investment that will mutually benefit both China and Pakistan.

On behalf of the China Harbour Engineering Company, the President thanked the Embassy for promoting trade and investment relations between China and Pakistan and hoped to work together for mutual cooperation and partnership.
