A photo exhibition was also held to highlight the untiring indigenous struggle of the Kashmiri men, women and children against the illegal Indian occupation and human rights violations perpetrated by the Indian security forces.

Messages of the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan were read out on the occasion. A short documentary highlighting the context of Indian illegal actions of 5 August 2019 was also screened.

Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Moin ulHaque paid tribute to valiant Kashmiris for their just struggle for right to self determination and standing firm against the Indian atrocities. He said two years had passed since India’s illegal actions and continuing military siege in the IIOJK, and expressed deep concern at the remorseless human rights violations perpetrated by the occupying Indian forces, including extrajudicial killings, rape, arbitrary detention, and use of pellet guns.
