Prime Minister’s Message on Conclusion of Visit to China

I am extremely pleased with the successful conclusion of my three day visit to China. I would like to convey my gratitude to the government and people of China for the warm reception and hospitality accorded to me and my delegation.

In my meetings with President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang, we agreed to further deepen our time-tested, all-weather strategic cooperative partnership. It was also agreed that our bilateral relationship served the interest of both the countries and was the historic choice of both the peoples. During these meetings we also reviewed the regional situation as well as the international political landscape.

In my interactions with leading Chinese enterprises, I was pleased to note their interest for expanding trade and investment ties with Pakistan. My government is fully committed to the high quality development of CPEC and would facilitate Chinese businessmen for investing in Pakistan.

My visit to China has reinforced my conviction in the vitality of Pakistan-China friendship. I am confident that our two countries would maintain the momentum of high level exchanges in future and continue our exemplary cooperation including in the field of people-to-people and cultural cooperation.  I invite people of China to visit Pakistan to explore its history, culture and beauty. 

We look forward to welcoming President Xi Jinping in Pakistan for a state visit at a mutually convenient early date.
