Pakistan Day

To mark the 83rd anniversary of Pakistan Resolution, the National Day of Pakistan was celebrated with zeal and fervor at Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing. The event was attended by the eminent members of Pakistani community, Chinese friends of Pakistan, media representatives, officers along with their families, teachers and students from Pakistan Embassy College Beijing (PECB).

The Pakistan Day ceremony commenced with the recitation of verses from Holy Quran. Messages of President and Prime Minister were read. Ambassador Moin ul Haque raised the flag with playing of national anthem of Pakistan.  

In his address on the occasion, Ambassador shed light on the significance of the Pakistan Resolution in achieving political awakening for the people of subcontinent. He paid glowing tributes to the visionary leadership of the founding father Quaid-i-Azam and other leaders of Pakistan movement for their commitment, struggle and sacrifices leading to the creation of Pakistan on 14th August 1947.

Ambassador also expressed solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIoJK) and expressed Pakistan’s continued moral, political and diplomatic support for the Kashmir cause.

Ambassador highlighted the special nature and importance of Pakistan-China friendship. As this year is being celebrated as the “Year of Tourism Exchanges”  between Pakistan and China, he expressed the hope to further promote cultural exchanges and enhance people to people contacts between our two countries in order to further strengthen our friendship and foster better understanding. He invited Chinese friends to visit Pakistan and explore its rich history, natural beauty and cultural heritage. 

Flag hoisting ceremonies were also held at Pakistan Consulates in Chengdu, Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
